TPEE (thermoplastic polyester elastomer) is a block copolymer containing a hard segment of polyester and a soft segment of polyether. The polyether soft segment and the uncrystallized polyester form an amorphous phase. The hard segment of the polyester partially crystallizes to form a crystalline microdomain, which functions as a physical crosslinking point. TPEE has the elasticity of rubber and the strength of engineering plastics; the soft section gives it elasticity, making it like rubber; the hard section gives it processing properties, making it like plastic; it has better processing properties and longer than rubber. Service life; compared with engineering materials, it also has high strength characteristics, and flexibility and dynamic mechanical properties are better.
TPEE has excellent heat resistance, the higher the hardness, the better the heat resistance; TPEE does not lose weight after continuous heating for 10h at 110~140°C, and is heated at 160°C and 180°C for 10h respectively, and the weight loss is only 0.05% and 0.1%. Therefore, the use temperature of TPEE is very high, and the short-term use temperature is higher, which can adapt to the baking temperature of the automobile production line (150-160 ° C), and its mechanical performance loss at low and low temperatures is small. TPEE is used above 120 °C, its tensile strength is much higher than TPU. In addition, TPEE also has excellent low temperature resistance, TPEE brittle point is lower than -70 °C and the lower the hardness, the better the cold resistance, most TPEE can be - Long-term use at 40 °C. Due to the balanced performance of TPEE at high and low temperatures, it has a very wide operating temperature range and can be used at -70 to 200 °C.
